Occupational Health Technician (Peripatetic Role)
Location: Based in Belfast (with travel across the UK)
Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, typically 8:30 am – 5:00 pm)

Our client is seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join their large supported team of technicians. In this role, you will drive our mobile screening unit to various sites in and around Belfast, delivering essential health surveillance services.
Key Requirements:
- Must have the facility to park the mobile screening unit at or near your home address overnight.
- Comfortable with frequent travel and regular overnight stays.
- Based around the Belfast area.

Key Responsibilities
Health Surveillance Screening:
- Conduct audiometry, lung function testing, drug and alcohol testing, and baseline measurements (height, weight, blood pressure, urinalysis).
- Ensure that all biometric data is accurately recorded and forwarded to the relevant clinical staff for effective patient management.
Equipment and Record Management:
- Ensure all equipment is clean, serviceable, and fit for purpose.
- Maintain detailed occupational health records to support clinical decision-making.
Additional Support Tasks:
- Assist with health promotion activities and other additional tasks as requested.
- Provide support to the broader occupational health team with non-clinical tasks such as filing and tidying, ensuring the smooth running of the department.
- Collaborate with nursing and physician staff, noting that while you will collect essential data, you will not be interpreting results (except for drug and alcohol testing, for which you will be specifically trained).
